LLM SEO: how models see a brand — not a ChatGPT ranking SKU

LLM SEO is the work of making a brand visible to language models and answer engines. It is not a ChatGPT ranking package and not the same product as AI backlinks. Eligibility for Google AI features is not selection. Enquire a citation mix, or order an English guest post. DR40+ at $250 is the usual volume row.

What is LLM SEO, and what is it not?

LLM SEO is a label people now put on a familiar job: help a model fetch, name, and maybe cite you. The model can be Google’s AI Overviews, another answer engine, or a chat product trained on the open web. The useful work is still pages that deserve to be sources, entities a machine can attach to a subject, and mentions on hosts a stranger already trusts. The unuseful work is a new SKU with “LLM” in the product name and a guaranteed screenshot.

It is not a ChatGPT ranking. We do not have an insertion order into a chat product. Anyone selling “ChatGPT SEO packages” is selling the same fantasy as guaranteed #1. Treat it that way. It is also not a special markup language. Google Search Central on AI features says AI Overviews and AI Mode use the same foundational eligibility as classic Search. There is no special AI markup. Eligibility is not selection.

Classic SERPs still use links as a signal. Answer engines lean more on mentions, entities, and pages they can summarise. Neither fact invents an LLM backlink SKU. English guest posts stay $125 / $175 / $250 / $275 / $450 when you need a new editorial URL. The quoted AI desk is a different door. Dual path stays open: enquire the mix, or order a packaged band when you already know you need volume.

How is this page different from AI backlinks?

This page is the definition and the refusal list. AI backlinks is the commercial desk: a quoted mention-and-authority programme for AI Overviews, plus English guest posts from $125 if you already know the band. Do not mash the URLs. If you came here to buy the programme, leave this guide and open that product. If you came here to understand what “LLM SEO” is allowed to mean, stay.

The AI backlinks promise on that desk is a scoped mix — mentions, Wikipedia when you are notable, digital PR when you have a story, guest posts to pages that deserve citation. It still will not sell a ChatGPT ranking or a guaranteed Overview citation. This guide repeats that refusal so the glossary page does not quietly become a second cart.

Sibling campaign writing already exists: link building for AI Overviews, Wikipedia and AI Overviews, brand mentions vs backlinks. Internal linking for AI is the on-site companion — entity-shaped pages you own, not a SKU we sell. Use those URLs when the question is a mechanic. Use this URL when the question is the label.

Why there is no ChatGPT ranking SKU

Because we cannot stand behind the deliverable. ChatGPT is a different product from Google Search. A followed blog link is not a ChatGPT placement. A prompt block hidden in a footer is not a ranking system. We will not sell a markup package, a bot-citation screenshot, or a “we got you into the model” metric we cannot show. If an RFP requires that line, we will write that we refuse it.

What we can stand behind is the same thing we stand behind for Google: links and mentions on real, trafficked, on-topic pages help those pages get found and cited. Entity mentions plus digital PR plus Wikipedia (when earned) plus guest posts to pages that deserve citation is the practical combo. It is slower than a marketplace cart. It is also the only mix that is not a label.

Unlinked mentions can still help brand SERPs and entity disambiguation. They are not a substitute for the guest-post table when you need topical coverage. We report whether the brand was named, whether it was linked, and whether the host looks like a publisher. We do not relabel an unlinked name-check as a DR40 backlink and we do not relabel a DR40 backlink as a ChatGPT win.

What Google already said about AI features

AI Overviews and AI Mode use the same foundational eligibility as classic results. A page that cannot appear in Search with a snippet cannot appear as a cited source either. Being crawlable is the floor, not a reservation. Structured data that already helps Search can still be used when it matches the visible page. Inventing an “AIOverview” meta tag is not a system. We will not sell one.

The link-spam policy still applies. Scaled thin posts and networks are a bad citation candidate and a bad classic-SERP candidate. SpamBrain devalues that farm layer. Buying fifty identical “resource” posts does not make you an entity a model should trust. It makes you a pattern. Host quality got more valuable, not less. That argument continues on are backlinks still important.

Ahrefs Domain Rating is how we package the English card. It is not Google’s ranking factor and it is not an LLM ranking factor. Moz Domain Authority is a third-party score we do not sell against. We still QC organic traffic and outbound in DataForSEO before a host is approved. A high badge on a dead site is a weak source page even if a slide said “authority for AI.”

Which placements help a model see a brand?

Pages a model can fetch and treat as a source: Wikipedia when notability is real, newsrooms when you have a story, editorial resources that already rank and look like they were written for a reader. Entity mentions on those hosts — linked or not — attach a name to a subject. Guest posts help when the host has readers, the article answers a real query, and your URL is a source rather than a footer dump.

Listicles, resource roundups, and original explainers are shapes Overviews already quote. We do not sell a secret listicle SKU. You pay guest-post rates and we pitch the format on purpose. A 600-word template on a slot farm can still be a contextual link for classic SEO if the host passes DataForSEO. It is a weak Overview candidate. Do not brief it as an LLM play.

Digital PR is quoted. Wikipedia is Enquire Now. Neither inherits an English guest-post SKU. International work uses native writers — international guest posts start at $175. A French answer surface is not an English article on a .fr domain. Hard niches stay on their desks. Do not hide a sportsbook inside an “LLM citation” guest post. Casino uses iGaming from $180, quote-only. Adult, CBD, and crypto stay Enquire Now.

Enquire or guest posts — the dual path

Enquire when you want the quoted AI Overviews / AI backlinks mix: mentions, a Wikipedia conversation if notability is obvious, digital PR if you have an angle, and a plan for which URLs should be citable. There is no public Worldwide Backlinks dollar figure on that programme and no 20-day SLA we can enforce on a journalist or a volunteer reviewer. Send the brief. We reply within 24 hours.

Order when you already know you need a packaged English guest post on a money page that can convert. DR40+ at $250 (QJE1WN) is the row most buyers pick for that volume piece. Typical TAT about two weeks, 20-day maximum, replacement if the live link drops. You can order that band in the portal and still enquire the mix on the same campaign. Dual path stays visible. The SKU does not become an LLM add-on fee.

The monthly agency package ($1,500, SKU 2R60XR) is a scoped guest-post desk, not an LLM retainer and not a 50-link “model visibility” quota. White-label wraps the same public rates. The PDF brand does not create a ChatGPT deliverable. Niche edits from $99 stay quote-only. They can belong when a strong indexed page already exists. They are not cheaper bleach for an AI brief.

What we will not invent for an LLM brief

A ChatGPT ranking. A guaranteed AI Overview screenshot. A special AI markup package. An “LLM backlinks” SKU with a third price card. A top-11 ranking-factor list for models. A case study with a citation multiple we cannot show. Pew click-drop figures belong on the AI Overviews explainer, attributed to Pew, not reprinted here as our research. We will not mash third-party studies into a fear funnel.

We will not say Google or any assistant endorsed Worldwide Backlinks. Founded 2022, Richmond VIC, teams in Singapore and the Philippines, 10,000+ placements, 15+ languages, 100% manual — fulfilment facts. About 500 owned sites exist; they are used only when they fit a brief. They are not an LLM network. Third-party editorial is the default. DataForSEO still runs before a host is approved.

If the brief is “just get us into the model,” we will ask which mechanic fits which URL. Volume without a citable page is still a guest-post brief. A story without a deadline quota is still digital PR. A notable entity without a brochure draft is still Wikipedia. Mash them into one LLM SKU and you get the wrong object on the wrong page. We will split the quote.

How should you start if you care about citations?

Ship a page a stranger would open. Link it from a hub you already own — internal linking for AI if the question is the on-site graph. Then decide whether you need volume, a newsroom angle, or an encyclopaedia record. “LLM SEO” is not a decision. It is a label on those decisions.

Create an account at clients.worldwidebacklinks.com if you are ordering a packaged English band. Use the quote form set toward AI Overviews / AI backlinks if you want the mix. Phone 1 800 751 994. Stay on AI backlinks for the commercial desk. Stay on guest posts or pricing for the volume card. This page stays the glossary and the refusal.

Refuse mystery catalogues sold as “AI citations.” Refuse 48-hour DR70. Refuse a secret dofollow toggle that will “make the model count it.” You get a live URL plus DR, traffic, and anchor when we place a guest post. You get a coverage report when we place PR. You get an honest no when notability is not there. Citation, if it happens, is the system’s decision later. Typical TAT on standard DR guest posts is about two weeks, 20-day maximum — placement, not a model-citation SLA.

LLM SEO label versus the doors that actually exist

Use this when someone asks for an LLM package. The mix is real. The chatbot insertion order is not. Distinct from [AI backlinks](/ai-backlinks).
