Cost

What does a Wikipedia page cost — and what are you actually buying?

Wikipedia is free. You pay people to research notability, write a neutral draft, disclose paid contributions, and file the work. Worldwide Backlinks quotes that brief. We do not publish a WWB Wikipedia dollar figure. Third-party industry ranges of $1,500–$10,000 are not our fee. No forever-live guarantee. Nofollow is expected.

Is Wikipedia free, or do agencies just charge for it?

The encyclopedia is free to edit. What costs money is labour: reading independent sources, writing a neutral article, filing it without puffery, and dealing with volunteer review. Paying for that labour is a service fee. Paying someone to sneak a promotional page past notability is a different — and worse — product.

We quote Wikipedia work. There is no DR package and no portal SKU. The product landing is Wikipedia page creation. This guide is the cost conversation so we do not clone that page. Enquire Now. The quote service is Wikipedia. If you need ranking-focused links, use guest posts on the published English table instead — $125 to $450, dual path.

How-to notability and COI live on how to create a Wikipedia page. Use that URL for the process. Use this one for money and expectations. Affiliated blogs, sponsored posts, and your own guest articles do not count as independent sources. If the source audit fails, we stop. You should not be billed for a fantasy page.

What do third-party 2026 ranges actually mean?

You will see industry quotes in SERPs from about $1,500 to $10,000 for “Wikipedia page” packages. Treat those as third-party stickers, not as a Worldwide Backlinks fee. We will not match a random vendor card. We will not invent a $4,999 “standard page” SKU to look complete.

Those ranges usually bundle research, drafting, and filing. They sometimes quietly bundle paid links on the article, which is how pages get deleted. We will not sell a followed-link package on Wikipedia. Expect nofollow. Expect citations that have to be independent and reliable. Cheap wiki-backlink carts sit under that range and are a different product: brochure pages that read like marketing.

Digital PR retainers you see advertised elsewhere are also third-party and also not our Wikipedia fee. Digital PR on this desk is quoted with no public dollar figure. Wikipedia vs PR is Wikipedia vs digital PR. Independent coverage is the raw material for notability. Buying more sponsored posts does not automatically create it.

What are you not buying when you pay us?

You are not buying a page that lives forever. Volunteer reviewers can delete, draftify, or strip links. If a page we filed is dropped, we replace the work or re-file according to the brief — we do not guarantee immortality.

You are not buying a ranking on Google.com. You are not buying a ChatGPT citation. You are not buying an English guest post at $125. Ahrefs DR does not apply. Moz DA does not apply. SpamBrain is not the main reviewer — Wikipedians are.

You are not buying undisclosed paid editing. COI disclosure is part of the work. If you want a stealth page, we are the wrong vendor. Paid contribution has disclosure norms on Wikipedia. We work inside those norms rather than hiding the relationship. Undisclosed paid spam is how accounts get blocked and pages get speedied.

When is Wikipedia the wrong spend?

When the company is not notable. When the only sources are your own blog and a press wire. When the page is a week-old casino or a token. When you need ten contextual links on a money page this month — that is guest posts, $125–$450.

When you actually need a newsroom story. Quote digital PR. When you need a directory listing, Enquire Now on directories — not a Wikipedia external-links dump. Creation starts from a red link and must prove notability from scratch. Editing starts from an article that already has a history and watchers. Mixing them is how COI editors get blocked. Both are quoted on the Wikipedia service.

AI Overviews sometimes lean on Wikipedia and Wikidata. We still do not sell a slot in the answer box. See Wikipedia and AI Overviews. Do not budget a dofollow ranking lift. Nofollow is expected. The value is a cited public record — when the community keeps it.

How should you brief a Wikipedia quote?

The subject, independent sources you already have, whether a page exists, and what you want changed. If a page exists, that is editing, still quoted, still on the same desk. Do not send a guest-post tone draft. Typical briefs we refuse: inserting a commercial URL as a reference, deleting competitors, inflating claims, and turning the infobox into an advert.

We reply within 24 hours, including with a notability no. Founded 2022, Richmond VIC. Building 1, 658 Church Street. Phone 1 800 751 994. Email support@worldwidebacklinks.com. Teams in Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Agencies can white-label the conversation with the client. The encyclopedia still sees a disclosed paid contribution. You cannot white-label Wikipedia’s rules. White-label applies to the PDF you show your client, not to volunteer review. We will not put a client logo on a draft that Wikipedia would reject.

How does TAT work on Wikipedia?

There is no 20-day placement SLA like a standard DR guest post. Volunteer time is not our operations clock. We will not pretend a 48-hour marketplace Wikipedia product exists. A source audit can be days. Reviewer queues can be weeks. Honest status reporting — live, draft, declined, or deleted — is included. Forever-live is not.

Guest-post TAT (about two weeks, 20-day max) is a different product. Do not mix the clocks in one SOW without saying so. English niche edits start at $99 and stay quote-only. Those are the ranking-oriented tables. This URL is encyclopaedia labour.

Enquire Now. There is no portal Wikipedia SKU. Volunteer clocks are not our 20-day guest-post ceiling. If you need volume contextual links on a commercial page, that is English guest posts from $125 — a different product with a different report. If you need a newsroom story, quote digital PR. If the subject is not notable, keep the money and do not file a deletion magnet. Founded 2022, Richmond. 1 800 751 994. We reply within 24 hours, including with a notability no.

What does a Wikipedia quote actually include?

A source audit against independent reliable coverage, a recommendation to file or stop, a neutral draft when the audit passes, disclosed paid-contribution handling, and status reporting. It does not include a forever-live guarantee, a dofollow ranking lift, or an English guest-post SKU. We will not invent a Wikipedia DR band.

If the subject already has an article, the quote is editing: what can change, what cannot, and which claims need better sources. If there is no article, the quote is creation — and creation fails when the only citations are your site, a wire, and a sponsored listicle. Affiliated blogs do not become independent because you paid for them.

Directories, niche edits from $99, and iGaming from $180 are other products. A Wikipedia external-links dump is not directory work. An insert on a health blog is not a citation the encyclopaedia will keep. Do not mash those invoices. Enquire Now on this page. Dual path for ranking links lives on guest posts, not here.

Common questions

How much does a Wikipedia page cost at Worldwide Backlinks?

Quoted to the brief. We do not publish a WWB Wikipedia fee. Third-party ranges of $1,500–$10,000 you see in SERPs are not our price.

Is Wikipedia free?

Yes to edit. You pay for research, a neutral draft, disclosure, and filing — not for a guaranteed live article.

Do you guarantee the page stays up?

No. Volunteers can delete or strip it. We re-file or replace work according to the brief. No forever-live promise.

Are Wikipedia links dofollow?

Expect nofollow. We do not sell a secret followed Wikipedia link.

Can I order Wikipedia in the portal?

No. There is no Wikipedia SKU. Use Enquire Now on the quote form.

Will this get me cited in ChatGPT?

We do not sell AI Overview placement. Wikipedia can support entities. That is not a ranking product.

Will you create a page if we are not notable yet?

No. We will tell you the source gap. Buying more guest posts does not automatically create notability, especially if those posts are sponsored.
